OUR STORY
Epiphany at the Kitchen Sink
I found happiness in the most unexpected place: between a dirty plate and a coffee cup.
It was an ordinary Tuesday. I was buried in dishes, mentally running through all the boring things about adulthood. Then I looked up.
Through the kitchen window, sunlight was hitting a tiny planter I'd long forgotten. It was a little cat-shaped planter, perched on the windowsill with pointy ears. The sun hit it just right, making it look like it was smiling back at me.
I laughed out loud. Alone. At a cat planter.
In that moment, I realized: we spend so much money trying to make our homes impressive. But what actually makes them happy?
The Hunt Begins
I started looking for other little things that could bring that same feeling—a split-second smile, a moment of warmth, a reason to pause.
A ceramic snail sunbathing by the flowerpot. Colorful wind chimes dancing in the breeze. More adorable planters—some like chubby little bears, some like peeking hedgehogs with tiny greens on their backs.
They don't cost much. They don't change the room. But every single one has the power to make your lips curl up, just for a second.
That second. That's everything.
The "Three Yes" Test
Then I met my partner. She's even more "obsessed" than I am—she names every little treasure, carefully noting where it belongs.
Together, we hunt. Little markets, small workshops, hidden corners of the internet—always looking for the next thing that makes people smile.
Our selection rule is simple. Three questions:
Did it make me smile? Do I want it in my home? Would I give it to a friend?
Three yeses. That's the one.
Your Turn
Now, our little "Joy Hunting Team" wants to pass that feeling on to you.
Maybe you want to brighten up a corner of your home. Maybe you want to surprise a friend. Or maybe you just want something small to make yourself smile.
Somewhere here, there's a little treasure waiting for your eyes to land on it.
Maybe one day, you'll be doing something ordinary—washing dishes, watering plants, walking past a windowsill—and you'll catch a glimpse of it.
You'll pause. And you'll smile.
Thank you for letting our little treasures be a part of your beautiful life.
